I'm driving home, towards my house in Cali, and I pull up into the driveway. I get into my house and not even a minute after I close the door, someone rings the doorbell.
I'm all by myself but I still open the door. I see a pregnant woman (with just a little bump) and another woman, who I assume is her mom. For some reason, I let them inside the house. It's not until they sit down in the living room and we're talking about something that I realize they're here to rob the house.
I make an excuse that I needed to call my friend Brandon back so I take my cell phone out. It's this tiny little gadget that barely fits in my hand. I don't want to leave the room in case they start stealing things. Brandon picks up the phone and asks what I'm up to, etc..
Me: Hey, nothing much.. what are you doing?
Brandon: Nothing.
Me: (I pause.. pretending he's saying something)... Yeah, sure. You can come over if you want.
Brandon: What?
Me: (I pause some more). Yeah, come over right now. I'm not doing anything.
I was trying to secretly tell Brandon I was in trouble and that he needed to come. He didn't get it [of course.. men.. can't even see when a damsel is in distress unless we call out "help"] but he said he was on his way.
I turn around for a second and when I look back, the 2 ladies aren't there anymore. My mom is downstairs with me and I tell her they're upstairs. We go up the stairs and because we didn't turn on the lights upstairs, I can make out their shadows heading towards my parents' room. That's when I realize these women had followed me home when I drove home earlier.
Somehow, I have a gun in my hand and I tell them to get on the ground. I feel bad about the pregnant girl, but part of me thinks it's not even real. I lay on top of one of them with her hands behind her back. Brandon finally arrives and I ask if he's called 911. He says "No..." and my mom says they're already here cause she called them.
And then... I wake up.
