Mexican gangs

I'm in the past with my boyfriend, who also switches in and out from being my best friend, Carlos [only 2 close Mexican guys I know.. haha].

We're visiting his old house and we see his dad in the garage working on his car. Alex goes inside the house to see it but I stay outside. We might disturb the past and have them see us. Unfortunately, I'm not really good at hiding and his father spots me. I think, "Oh crap, how is this going to change the present/future (??)!" I try to move away from the house and finally, Carlos comes out. We're walking away from the house and we see a 2-3 other guys come up the hill towards the house. Apparently, they're his cousins who are in a gang. Carlos says to me, "Things really do happen late in the night.. they're getting ready.." Carlos explains to me that he wasn't ever involved in gangs but his cousins were.

Then Carlos turns into Alex and he grabs my hand.  His cousins spot him and tell him to come with them but we don't want to. We keep walking and they follow us. We're heading towards a carnival-looking place--bright lights and a lot of people around. Guys from his cousin's rival gang are there and they spot the both of us. One of the guys  from the rival gang comes up to us and says something along the lines that he found us and he's going to get us.

We start running and they have knives, razor blades, and other weapons. I'm scared for my life!

We run into this tiny carnival tent.. And by tiny, I mean, like only 2 people can fit in there. I'm thinking, "Why did we go in here, we're not going to escape?!!" Then Alex and his other cousin are trying to dig a hole on the other side of the tent. I'm not understanding why the rival gangs aren't going inside the tent, but they're not... Then as Alex's cousin is making that hole on the other side of the tent, I see one of the rival gangs waiting for us on the other side. So I tip the tent over so it falls on him and start stomping on him [of course, the woman has to save the day]. I tell Alex to run and get out. The rival gang member spots me and is about to grab me for helping Alex out...

And then... I wake up.
